If you miss sitting in a movie theater (or even on the couch) with friends during the novel coronavirus outbreak, learning how to group watch on Hulu, Netflix and Amazon Prime will be your saving grace.

Not sure what we're talking about? The streaming services now offer ways to log in and watch shows all together with your friends. These coronavirus inspired remote watch party are now becoming a thing--think of them as group chats for streaming. Yes, genius.
Here's everything you need to know about group streaming on every platform:
Hulu
The company launched Hulu Watch Party in June. The only catch is that you and your friends have to an ad-free Hulu subscription to partake. Go to the details page on a show or movie on Hulu's website and clicking the "Watch Party" icon.
Amazon Prime Video
The Prime Video Watch Party feature is similar to Hulu's and requires that you use a web browser to access it. Go to a movie or TV show's page, find the Watch Party icon and send the URL to as many as 100 of your friends. It's lit!
Netflix
You'll need to use a secret hack to group stream Netflix--the Chrome extension Netflix Party. Everyone needs to install the extension, login, and then you can group watch while text chatting. Sweet!
