It’s no secret that we all love to indulge in a good chicken sandwich every now and then. However, one of the last places you should order a chicken sandwich from is none other than Wendy’s. Yes, Wendy’s is both affordable and convenient, but the nutritional value of their menu items, or lack thereof, just isn’t worth it.

According to kuudose founding celebrity trainer and nutrition expert Joey Thurman, the Spicy Pretzel Bacon Pub sandwich is one chicken sandwich from Wendy’s that you should never order.

The nutrition facts of Wendy’s menu items can be downright scary. It’s time to reconsider ordering this or any chicken sandwich from the fast food chain, and we’ll let Thurman explain why.

“If you look up the ingredient list of this massive chicken sandwich it is set and cooked in vegetable oils,” Thurman explains. “Vegetable oils are one of the worst things you can do for your health. The issues with the majority of these oils that are used to cook this chicken is that it leads to chronic inflammation, weight gain, and could even affect your brain by worsening your memory (canola oil to be exact).” Yikes!

According to Wendy's website, this sandwich contains 840 calories, 42 grams of total fat, and 1780 milligrams of sodium. How crazy is that?

Healthier menu item options from Wendy’s include the Grilled Chicken Sandwich coming in at 360 calories, 9 grams of total fat, and 780 milligrams of sodium, or the Apple Pecan Chicken Salad which contains 460 calories, 21 grams of total fat, and 910 milligrams of sodium.
