Raise your hand if you’ve got plenty of time on your hands, terrible skin and no way to access your dermatologist right now.

Yep, my hand is up, too.

Quarantine has wreaked havoc on my skin (and my life, TBH) but there’s one silver lining in the whole thing: time to find expert-backed, top-rated products online that you can use at home to cure your own skin issues. Hey–this might even save us hundred of dollars in doctor visits and beauty treatments in the end!

I just found one such product–Glamglow Youthmud Mask ($59)–on January Jones’ Instagram recently. She posted a shelfie of her newly-organized beauty cabinet–and so I had to try it. January is 42 but looks 15.

After doing a little research online, I discovered that the beauty brand that was actually developed for celebrities to help them get camera-ready quickly.

The product uses French sea clay to vacuums gunk out of pores in less than 10 minutes. It leaves skin brighter, tighter and clearer–but never dry. Hence why January, as well as Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, Nina Dobrev, Hilary Duff, and countless others with freakishly young-looking skin swear by it.

“If I am breaking out or feeling oily, I’ll do a charcoal or clay mask (like the Glamglow YouthMud),” Estée Lauder’s great-granddaughter Danielle Lauder told Harper’s Bazaar.

So, naturally, being the celebrity-obsessed person that I am, I had to try it. I ordered it from Sephora–and when the package arrived at my door step, I tried it immediately. (Okay, first I Lysol-wiped the box, then tried it.)

The stuff made my oily skin look amazing–and it felt incredible to use. The exfoliating beads are no joke; you definitely feel that they are getting in there in terms of gunk and grim removal. I washed off the mask and was blown away–my skin tone was more even and I truly felt like I shed all the dullness (and drama) from the past week in a quick shot.

If you’re looking for a skin miracle–maybe to brighten your complexion before back-to-back Zoom calls, or if you’re suffering from major acne breakouts in isolation–I highly recommend this stuff. And now you know why celebs always look perfect on the red carpet!
