The summer of recalls continues!

First, we reported that the FDA had stopped the sale of hand sanitizers over a “resemblance” to water bottles, then packaged lettuce was pulled by the agency from Walmart stores after cases of salmonella were reported. And now the Food and Drug Administration is yanking more than two dozen types of muffins out of stores over a listeria concerns. Say it ain’t so!

This year has already taken so much from us, and now delicious baked goods are one more thing. The agency revealed in an announcement on July 20th that the food company Give and Go Prepared Foods was conducting a voluntarily recall of 26 muffin products sold at 7-Eleven, Stop & Shop, Walmart and Sam’s Clubs.

Luckily, no one has gotten sick from the muffins; the issue was reported during an environmental monitoring program.

In the notice posted by the Food and Drug Administration this week, it was revealed that product names like Uncle Wally’s, The Worthy Crumb and Freshness Guaranteed were affected.

We already know that grocery store muffins are *so* bad for us, but not having the option of grabbing them is just too much to take.
