Dunkin’ is known for its scrumptious donuts and delicious coffee alike, and it seems unbelievable that there would be a drink described by customers as “hard to bear,” but Dunkin’ enthusiasts have found it: the iced Americano. Fans blast Dunkin for iced Americano, saying 'anything else on the menu would be better than this'

Customers were unhappy with the simple drink. One fan, the nicest of the bunch, said, "The chain's espresso does not do well in the spotlight." Another customer wrote, "the iced Americano showcases the ugly truth of Dunkin’s espresso."

They continued, writing, "It's so incredibly bitter—so much so that it tastes burnt. We also picked up flavor notes of charred sticks and scorched plastic."

Another user wrote, "We literally grimaced every time we took a sip of this," adding "anything else on the menu would be better than this."

"This drink tasted like what would happen if you tried to make espresso with a supermarket brand of budget coffee like Folgers," one coffee enthusiast said.

A final customer wrote, "In addition to the bitterness, it had a sour, almost tannic quality that made our mouths feel dry."

What to order instead of an iced Americano

On the flipside, Dunkin’ customers are big fans of the caramel craze iced signature latte, calling it "perfectly executed" with flavors of "brown butter, vanilla, and toasted sugar." Another favorite is the cold brew with caramel cold foam, which they called "pleasant" and "refined."

Dunkin' will still always be our favorite coffee place, we'll just stay away from the iced Americano!
