Nothing is better than a Chick-Fil-A sandwich smothered in Chick-Fil-A sauce, right? Though that might sound good to your tastebuds, it's definitely not the best choice for your waistline. Thankfully there are ways you can eat smarter at the popular fast food chain, but it involves parting ways with one particular sauce...

Chick-Fil-A's signature Chick-Fil-A sauce is without a doubt the tastiest sauce available at the chain, but it's loaded with unhealthy calories, fat and sodium -- 140 cals, 13g, and 140 mg to be exact. And that's not even the half of it! It's also got 6g of sugar, 2g of saturated fat, 10mg of cholesterol, and 6g of carbs. Yikes!
"It may be tasty, but Chick-Fil-A sauce is one of the worst things you can put on your food," says Dr. Michael Belfiore of Belfiore Preventative Medicine & Aesthetics. "It's loaded with fat and sodium, and that's just adding to all the unhealthy stuff you're already getting from the fried food you're putting it on top of."
Ugh, this is heartbreaking. But after taking a glance at the nutrition info on all of Chick-Fil-A's sauces, it seems like you should also be avoiding the Garlic & Herb Ranch Sauce, too! The creamy dipping sauce has a lot going on: 140 calories, 14g of fat, 2.5g of saturated fat, 15mg of cholesterol, and 230mg of sodium. Wow.
Who knew that dipping sauce could be so bad for you? It's definitely good to be aware of what's in all your fast food faves, especially if you're trying to lose weight!
