The news surrounding Britney Spears‘ conservatorship just keeps coming.
The wide-ranging conservatorship has a lot of control over Britney’s life. And in the past, her father, Jamie Spears, has been the sole conservator. However, in 2019, health conditions led to Jamie giving up his role to Britney’s care manager, Jodi Montgomery–but now he wants it back despite Britney’s wishes.

According to Us Weekly, Britney "is strongly opposed to having [Jamie] return as the conservator of her person."
Instead, she hopes that Jodi Montgomery will "continue in that role as [she] has done for nearly a year."
She "strongly prefers" to keep Jodi on as her conservator.
The article continues, explaining that her attorney, Samuel D. Ingham III, explained Britney's wishes: "Without in any way waiving her right to seek termination of this conservatorship in the future, Britney would like Ms. Montgomery’s appointment as conservator of her person to be made permanent."
This is not the only thing going on with Britney's conservatorship.
Plus, according to The Blast, Britney's mom, Lynne Spears now wants to be involved in her daughter's conservatorship, filing to become an "interested person" for the trust.
This would not give Lynne power over the trust, but it would allow her to stay informed on all matters related to the trust.
