People explains tensions between couples Meghan Markle & Prince Harry and Kate Middleton & Prince William as being evidenced at their last royal official appearance together in March.
At the Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey the two couples barely acknowledged each other as they were seated just one row apart in the church. You could have cut the tension with a knife!
The book's author Omid Scobie says that Meghan and Harry felt snubbed at the service, but that tensions had been building since the start of the women's relationship.

"Though it was not necessarily her responsibility, Kate did little to bridge the divide,” authors Scobie and Carolyn Durand write in the book. Though they "were not at war with each other," there were certainly some "awkward moments," in the beginning.
One such moment was the time the women met for the first time at William and Kate's Kensington Palace home. Kate being an "extremely guarded person" was not as warm initially to Harry's new flame as others might have expected.
The magazine goes deeper, citing reports in the book that Prince William reportedly told his brother to pump the brakes on his fast-moving relationship with Meghan in 2016.

The future King reportedly told his brother, "Don’t feel like you need to rush this," and "Take as much time as you need to get to know this girl" as his brother was falling fast in love with the American actress. That did not go over well with Harry.
"Harry was pissed off," a royal source has said. "Pissed off that his brother would ask such a thing. Some felt it was an overreaction. But then, this totally sums them up as people—William the calm and rational one, and Harry, who can’t help but take things far too personally."
Well, it doesn't seem like these two will be sitting down for Sunday dinner together anytime soon!
