Prince William and Prince Harry have a strained relationship that is often the focus of media attention. With Harry’s recent decision to step back from the royal family and move to North America, that tension has only been exacerbated.

And a source close to the royal family has even said that their disagreement will be impossible to overcome with Harry so far away, insinuating that the only way the brothers will manage to move on is by being in “the same country.”

Keep reading for all the details about the brothers’ now infamous feud.

Speaking to Us Weekly’s Royally Us, former royal press secretary Dickie Arbiter, the brothers will not be able to "settle their rift until they're in the same country again.

Arbiter, who worked closely with the royal family in the past, hopes that the brothers are able to put their differences aside eventually. He explained, "I hope they settle their rift because there shouldn’t be bad blood amongst brothers, particularly those two brothers who went through such trauma together [with the] death of their mother."

He continued, "They’ve been through a lot, and they’ve carried each other, and they’ve supported each other. And to have a rift is not healthy in any family. So I hope they are getting back together again."

The royal expert thinks that the physical distance between the brothers is definitely playing a role in the family's tension. He explained, "Harry being in Los Angeles and William and Catherine being in the United Kingdom, [there’s] a great big ocean, a lot of land between, and it’s not going to be broached until such time they actually get together [and Harry comes] back to the UK."

Apparently, Arbiter is not alone in hoping the two are able to come together.

Another insider let slip that William was hoping Harry would return to the UK, especially with concerns about Covid-19. The insider told Us that William "advised Harry to return to London or move elsewhere, somewhere safer. He’s concerned about his brother’s well-being and safety."
