This Huge Secret About Whole Foods Just Got Out–We Can’t Believe It!

Amazon and Whole Foods are being scolded by attorney generals in thirteen states! And it’s not a good look for the companies amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

The AGs in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Washington, and the District of Columbia are saying that they haven’t received any information from the chains about how many workers have been infected with or passed away from the novel coronavirus. This is not good!

The coalition sent a letter to the organizations stating that, "Many of our States' consumer protection laws require businesses to provide truthful information and disclose material information to consumers."

The letter went on to explain that, "Such developments--and Whole Foods' responses to these developments--may be material to consumers and the public, as they implicate health concerns that may arise from shopping at Whole Foods stores as well as Whole Foods' representation regarding the safety of its stores."

They claim that they are hearing about coronavirus cases involving employees secondhand through the media, including an outbreak in Washington, DC and the death of an employee in Portland, Oregon. Our thoughts and prayers go out to these essential grocery workers, and all others across America!

They're also asking Whole Foods to provide a detailed description of their policies for notifying people of coronavirus cases at stores.

The letter, addressed to Whole Foods CEO John Mackey and Amazon head Jeffrey P. Bezos, skewers the leaders, stating that they are "dismayed" to learn of "multiple reports" of Amazon warehouses with inadequate protective gear and practices, resulting in putting "employees at risk.” Terrible!
