It’s that time of the year! Many of us will give or receive a new iPhone for Christmas. An estimated 46.7 million iPhones will be purchased during this period. And while most of us bought at least one Apple product before, there one mistakes the average person might make when completing the transaction. What is it?

"Not buying as much built-in memory as you can afford up front," Derek Meister Geek Squad Agent at Best Buy tells us.

"Some phones may allow you to use an SD card, but it's never really the same as getting a phone with enough storage for all the photos, music, videos, movies and games you want to have with you at all times," he explains. That makes sense!

"This also often impacts resale value, if that's a concern for you. This is 10x as true for iPhones!"

So, there you have it--the one mistake many of us making when buying a new iPhone. The best way to avoid this is to look at your current device settings to see how much memory you are using. Your new device should have at least as much memory, if not 10-20% more.
