Tiffany Haddish has always been our comedy idol, but now she can add fitness guru to her list of accomplishments after she dropped 40 pounds in quarantine and is living her healthiest life yet. The 41-year-old actress posted a selfie on Instagram on November 30, posing in a bra and showing off her toned obliques at the beginning of her 30 day transformation program. She looks incredible!

Haddish spoke out about her weight loss to PEOPLE, explaining that being home allowed her to focus on eating fresh foods and increasing her exercise which she attributed her phenomenal physique to. She emphasized that before anything else, nutrition was the key to her success, “I’ve been eating differently, eating way more vegetables, definitely eating directly out of my garden and just really putting in the work, making sure I sweat every single day and staying up on nutrition – nutrition is everything.”

Tiffany also noted that a daily sweat helped to sculpt her visible abs, saying that even five to ten minutes of dancing on some days were enough for her to burn calories and have a good time doing it. The comedian incorporates a good variety of exercise into her routine outside of dancing, revealing that she works out, “anywhere from 15 minutes to sometimes two hours.”

On top of her nutritional plan and daily movement, Haddish is also an ambassador for vitafusion Gummy Vitamins, which she takes to enhance her health, as well as raise awareness for WhyHunger’s Hungerthon--an effort to aid those who are homeless and in need of food during the holidays. Haddish revealed that she herself was once homeless and had her own struggles with food, which helped her to recognize how blessed she is to be in a position of success where she can focus on her health--an experience which she said made her stronger.

We could all take notes from Tiffany Haddish this holiday season, both with creating a healthy lifestyle heading into the new year, and giving back to the community. While we may be spending our time at home for the next few months, we can still prioritize eating nutritionally dense foods, getting some daily movement, and enjoying our fitness journeys!
