TikTok Video Appears To Disprove Meghan Markle's Anecdote About The Queen
The video seemed to be taken on June 14th, 2018, when the late Queen and Meghan visited Cheshire together for a full day of official engagements, including opening the Mersey Gateway Bridge. Meghan was dressed in a stunning cream-colored Givenchy midi dress, while the Queen pulled focus in a bright lime-colored ensemble.
It started off with the caption, "When Meghan lied on Oprah," and towards the end, had the caption, "She didn’t. Queen: 'Recollections may vary.'" Zing! In the video, the mom-of-two can be heard saying: "She has a blanket that sits across her knees for warmth and it was chilly, and she was like, 'Meghan come on,' and put it over my knees as well."
However, eagle-eyed TikTok users don’t think that the late monarch put the blanket over her granddaughter-in-law's knees at all. Although in the interest of playing devil's advocate, some users did say that some of the video was quite dark, which made it quite difficult to see everything clearly. Others thought that the late Queen could very well have placed the blanket on Meghan at a later point that wasn’t captured on video. Regardless of what happened, TikTok had many, many thoughts in the comments section!
TikTok Reactions
"No words can describe the woman," commented one user. "How do you know Meghan is lying? Her mouth is moving," quipped another, as another user asked, "Does she even know what truth and honesty means?" "Meghan is a big liar!" exclaimed another user, as someone else called her a "very dangerous individual." "You can clearly see the Queen did not put the blanket over Meghan's knees. Meghan's legs are exposed," another user stated. "There’s something seriously wrong with Markle," another non-fan said, as someone else asked, "Does she ever tell the truth?" "Meghan can't stop lying," wrote another user, followed by the eye-rolling emoji.
Others thought that the late Queen may have had every intention of sharing her blanket but simply struggled with it in the brief video footage, with one user saying, "You can see she puts it on her legs it’s not a lie," and another adding, "Isn’t that kinda what is happening there?" "She did attempt to!" exclaimed another. "She put it on half of 1/4 of one of her knees," another user said, while someone else thought perhaps Meghan was referring to another incident altogether, writing, "Yeah there’s no way possible that it couldn’t have happened any other time than that right?"
