Tom Brady‘s broadcasting career may not have gotten off to the best start, as social media was rife with poor reviews after he made his debut on Fox earlier this month.
However, there’s an ever so slight possibility that the NFL star may be back to doing what he does best – that’s actually playing football! – as there are rumors circulating that he may come out of retirement to step in for the current quarterback of the Miami Dolphins.
Is Tom Brady Coming Out Of Retirement To Step In For Miami Dolphins Quarterback?
The rumors started after Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa sustained another concussion during last week's game against the Buffalo Bills. He left in the third quarter and did not return for the rest of the game; and he is unlikely to return straight away, leaving the internet wondering who will step in to replace him.
According to Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Devlin 'Duck' Hodges, the seven-time Super Bowl champ should be first on the list of players to step in for the Dolphins. And quite a few others felt the same way too…

Hodges wrote on X: "Tom Brady to the Miami Dolphins… heard it here first. Watch." And naturally there were many comments to Hodges' post. "Whatever gets him out of the booth," quipped one fan. "I think he misses it a lot," replied another, as another hopeful fan said: "Man that would be great."
Others didn't think that Brady would do it, with one person saying: "Yeah he's not turning down a $300 mill contract relaxing talking about the game to get beat up every Sunday for $30 mill." Someone else said: "Tom Terrific is too old to play football again. Leave the Goat alone. Give him a chance in the broadcasting booth. He will be just fine. The Dolphins can go after Kapernick instead!"
Jermaine Wiggins, Brady's former teammate, also weighed in on the rumor on The Greg Hill Show, and said: "Let's just say he did, and he went to Miami. Team's in his backyard, doesn't have to travel, doesn't have to go away to the West Coast. They have an unbelievable offense. They have the most dominant skill player in the NFL in Tyreek Hill."
The rumors aren't completely far-fetched, as Brady himself discussed the idea of coming out of retirement to play for the Dolphins last year. He said at the time: "I will say, now that I'm not affiliated with any team anymore, and even though I have strong ties with a couple teams, I do have some friends on the Dolphins that I really like. So, I wouldn't say I necessarily root for them all the time, but I root for my friends to do well, and several of them play for Miami." How interesting…
