Tom Brady 'Never Imagined' Gisele Bündchen And Joaquim Valente Would Have A Baby Together
The 47-year-old NFL broadcaster, who shares son Benjamin, 14, and daughter Vivian, 11, with the 44-year-old Brazilian supermodel, reportedly "never imagined" that his ex-wife would have a baby with the jiu jitsu instructor. If we are to believe reports, Gisele is due to give birth in early 2025.
According to an insider, Brady was "stunned" when he heard the news, telling Page Six: "Tom knew that things were serious between Gisele and Joaquim but he never imagined they would be having a child together." They added: "It just wasn't something that was on his radar. So when Gisele broke the news to him, he was stunned, to say the least."
This seems to echo what another insider reportedly told the Daily Mail. "Finding out Gisele was pregnant stung," the other insider explained.
"There's not a lot of people who see the Tom behind closed doors, but those that do could see he was upset," the insider continued, before adding: "It was a hard pill to swallow. It was never something he ever thought was going to happen."
Gisele and Joaquim's relationship has been plagued with cheating allegations from the very start, after many people speculated that Gisele had cheated on Tom with Joaquim while they were still married. Gisele shut down the infidelity rumors in an interview with The New York Times, published on Saturday, March 23rd 2024; but perhaps this is partly why the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers player felt blindsided.
Tom Is 'Happy' For Gisele, Insider Says
Despite being initially shocked and "upset" by the news, Page Six's insider went on to say that the seven-time Super Bowl champ is trying to be happy for his ex-wife, and has accepted that her life doesn't have anything to do with him unless it involves their two children.
"After the initial shock wore off," the source said, Tom has "grown used to the idea and he's happy for Gisele." They added: "At the end of the day, Tom's sole focus is on his children and his career. What Gisele decides to do with her own life is really none of his business."
Has Tom Brady Responded To Gisele's Pregnancy?
Brady has still yet to officially comment on the pregnancy news, although fans think it’s interesting that he shared the lyrics to Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide" on his Instagram Story just a few hours after the pregnancy news broke.
Brady had the remake by The Chicks playing in his Instagram Story. Underneath three red heart emojis, he shared some of the lyrics of the song, and wrote: "Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love?"
