Last week Sandra Hanks Benoiton, older sister of Hanks, broke her silence about her brother’s health. She told The Daily Mail, "I have communicated with my brother. He's not great, but still okay.” She was further asked if she was shocked by his status. Benoiton replied, “Am I shocked? No. He's an actor, not a god but medical care in Australia is good.”
Hanks also shared his health status on Instagram.
This past Sunday, Hanks gave his fans some sage advice: stay home. On his Twitter account, Hanks explained how social distancing can save those who are not infected with COVID-19.
Hanks and Wilson are in Australia filming an upcoming Elvis Presley biography directed by Baz Luhrmann. Hanks will play Presley's manager, Colonel Tom Parker. Hanks has been keeping his fans up to date with his and Wilson's health on Instagram.
