Trader Joe’s has some of the best desserts (have you tried the Jingle Jangle?), frozen foods (our fave is the Orange Chicken), and yummy drinks (hello Sugar Plum Sparking Beverage), but the retail giant hasn’t limited itself to just products of the edible variety. Superfans of Trader Joe’s have been singing the praises of TJ’s skin care products for years now, and their favorite? Body Butters.

Trader Joe’s sells a few different varieties of body butters, including coconut, brazil nut, fragrance-free, and a trio pack with lavender, white gardenia, and pineapple bergamot scents. Customers have been raving over the body butters, saying “the scent lasts so long” and it makes “skin feel like silk.” Keep reading for more information.

Trader Joe's Body Butters

Trader Joe's first body butter product was the Coconut Body Butter, originally released in 2012. They describe the item as "a thick, smooth, buttery, body cream that's made with pure coconut oil and other skin soothing ingredients, including aloe vera, shea butter and vitamin E."

They also note that "it absorbs into your skin very quickly, and doesn't leave it feeling oily," and that it's "beneficial for all skin types."

The Brazil Nut Body Butter is another popular summer seasonal item, described as "thick, rich, and smelling of summer," and is made with "coconut oil, shea butter, açaí extract, guarana extract" and "bertholletia excelsa seed oil—a.k.a. Brazil nut seed oil." This combination creates an intoxicating scent of "salted caramel, pistachio, and beachy notes of coconut and vanilla."

The Body Butter Trio is only $7.99, making it an easy, low-cost gift for someone you love or even yourself. The Trader Joe's website describes all three as "up to the task of moisturizing even the driest of winter skin, and all three leave behind lovely, lingering scents."

And finally, if scents aren't your thing, Trader Joe's also makes a fragrance-free version that "moisturizes and repairs dry skin," and "prevents water loss." This option is perfect if you have other scents you prefer to wear but want to stay extra-hydrating.
