Trader Joe's introduces Gluten Free Madeleines
It can be tough out there for people who have a sweet tooth and a gluten intolerance. Unfortunately, many of the baked goods you'll find in the store (including a lot of tasty cookies) contain gluten. But now, the dessert extraordinaries at Trader Joe's are eliminating that problem with their Gluten Free Madeleine cookies.
These French-inspired, shell-shaped cookies are totally delectable. For $3.49, you can get a whole box of individually wrapped, fluffy goodness. When @traderjoesglutenfree, an Instagram account dedicated to showcasing TJ's items that those with gluten-free diets can enjoy, shared the news, fans flooded the comments with excitement.

"They are a delicate, fluffy, cake like cookie and the flavor is not overly sweet with subtle citrus notes. I will def buy these again," the post read.
"Wait what!!! We need these," one comment rejoiced.
"They’re delicious and I think they’d be a great substitute for angel food cake to make individual strawberry shortcakes!" another commenter chimed in.
In fact, many people agreed that these are comparable to pound cake and are perfect in strawberry shortcake. "LOVED these. I cut them up to make strawberry shortcake and it was sooooo delicious!" one raved.
Other words of praise include "delicious," "yummy," "moist and soft." Gluten allergy or not, it's safe to say we're sold on these cookies. What do you think? Are you going to give them a shot, or will you stick with the Gluten Free Strawberry Muffins?
Whatever the case, we suggest picking up these other fan-approved items next time you stop at Trader Joe's—your taste buds will thank you.
