Garth Brooks 'Impersonates' George Jones

Performing "Your Good Girl's Gonna Go Bad" with his wife, Brooks seemingly tried to copy George Jones' style, but according to fans, his attempts fell short. "Wish Garth would have just sang the song instead of trying to impersonate George," one person posted of X, formerly Twitter.

"Trisha killed it," one person wrote. "But Garth butchered it."

"Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood have become the biggest frauds in #countrymusic," another person agreed. "Their George Jones/Tammy Wynette was horrible."

Trisha Yearwood Wins Praise

While critics slammed Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood received tons of praise, both for her performances in addition to her new, slim figure. According to Life & Style, the singer, now 60, lost an epic 55 lbs. between 2013 and 2017, and has since managed to maintain that weight loss with a healthy diet and exercise she enjoys.

According to Women's Health, Yearwood cut out "white food" such as pasta, white bread, and sugar, and also kept things simple. "I made [my diet] simple, because I knew I wouldn't stay on it unless I saw results fast," she confessed.

Regarding exercise and making time for her mental health as well as physical, Yearwood added: "I strength train three times a week and work multiple muscle groups in the same exercises. Then, at least two days a week, I try to do something that benefits my mind, body, and spirit. I hike with my rescue dogs. It's cardio, but it also clears the mind to meditate, talk to God, just be outside."
