35,000 Pounds Of Johnsonville Turkey Sausage Recalled Due To ‘Foreign Matter Contamination’ After Being Shipped Nationwide

Over 35,000 pounds of Johnsonville turkey kielbasa sausage has been recalled by Salm Partners, LLC the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced on March 7.
This meat was recalled due to the fact that the products may be contaminated with “foreign materials,” posing a health and safety risk to consumers. Learn more about the recall—including what to do if you have the effected meat in your fridge or freezer—below.
Johnsonville turkey kielbasa sausage recall
Salm Parners is recalling 35,430 pounds of Johnsonville turkey kielbasa sausage because it could contain pieces of rubber. These ready-to-eat meat products were shipped nationwide, and "FSIS is concerned that some product may be in consumers' refrigerators."
The potentially impacted products are 12-oz, vacuum-packed packages labeled as Johnsonville POLISH KIELBASA TURKEY. Each product will have a best by date of either 05/17/24 or 05/18/24, as well as an establishment number of P-32009. Although these dates have passed, individuals may have the meat stored in their freezer.
This recall follows reports from customers who found pieces of rubber in the meat. Although there have been no reported injuries or adverse reactions, it's important to take recalls like this seriously. If you are in possession of any of the recalled sausage, the FSIS urges you to throw the products out or return to them to the place of purchase.
