Recently, a video featuring former President Donald Trump speaking about Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis was shared by his campaign team. The clip, which was posted on November 21st to X (formerly Twitter), has garnered attention from many users who have commented on Trump’s “striking” appearance.
Some have described the twice-impeached former president, 77 as looking “different” and “more gray than orange,” while others have suggested that he may have foregone his usual “makeup.”

X Users Think Donald Trump Looks ‘So Different’ In New ‘Makeup-Free’ Video
The video of Trump was posted along with the following caption: “Kim Reynolds is the most Unpopular Governor in America.” In it, Trump said Reynolds, 64, had “gone from a popular governor to the most unpopular governor in the entire United States of America, not an easy feat.”
X users were quick to share their thoughts beneath the post. “Forgot to put on his makeup today,” one wrote as another added: “What is wrong with trumps face?” Someone else tweeted: “Trump without makeup? The rest, his usual nonsense.” One other user replied: “Is Trump sick? He looks awful.” Another chimed in: “This is embarrassing even for Trump.”
In the video, Trump said that Reynolds' endorsement of DeSantis, 45, "has given him exactly zero bounce," as he deemed the Florida governor to be a "wounded bird."
Contemplating the possibility of a DeSantis administration, the leading Republican candidate then pondered the extent of Reynolds' involvement in such a scenario.
"I wonder what position Kim was promised in order to back someone who is so far down in the polls," Trump said.
It seems that when Trump made reference to Reynolds' popularity, he was alluding to the recent Morning Consult poll that surveyed the approval ratings of all U.S. senators, governors, and President Joe Biden.
Reynolds seemed to emerge as the governor with 47%, the highest disapproval rating. According to the Des Moines Register, the August Iowa Poll revealed that Reynolds maintains a high level of popularity among Iowa Republicans, with 81% of them viewing her favorably.
This same poll also showed that Reynolds received more favorable ratings than the Republican 2024 field, which includes Trump. Only 65% of likely Iowa caucusgoers viewed Trump favorably.
