According to The Sun, the “Anti-Hero” hitmaker is “madly in love” with the British “About You” rocker after their long-term friendship supposedly blossomed into a romantic relationship. Swift and Healy, as fans know, met in 2014 and were photographed wearing each other’s merchandise at the time— Swift notably donned a t-shirt with Healy’s band’s logo plastered on it and Healy sported a shirt with Swift’s 1989 album cover art at a concert shortly after.

Even despite the brief turnaround, one source dished to the outlet that Swift is “madly in love” with Healy. “She and Matty are madly in love,” they said, adding, “It’s super-early days, but it feels right. They first dated, very briefly, almost ten years ago but timings just didn’t work out.”
The insider went on, “Taylor and Joe [Alwyn] actually split up back in February, so there was absolutely no crossover. “But as two international megastars, they understand the pressures of one another’s jobs better than anyone, and are incredibly supportive of their respective careers,” the source reportedly noted. “They are both massively proud and excited about this relationship and, unlike Taylor’s last one — which was very much kept out of the spotlight, deliberately — she wants to ‘own’ this romance, and not hide it away.”
Even if this pairing might seem “unbelievable” or “super shocking” to fans as seen on Twitter, the insider said that Swift’s devotees should expect to see Healy at her future shows, such as her May 5th concert in Nashville. “Taylor just wants to live her life, and be happy. She’s told pals Matty is flying to Nashville over the weekend to support her on the next leg of her tour,” the source said. Fans React to ‘Insane’ and ‘Unbelievable’ Swift and Healy Dating Rumors
Still in shock over the rumors? Us, too. While some are already “shipping” Swift and Healy together and “rejoicing” after “wanting them to be together” for years, others are either in disbelief— either because they think Swift can “do better” or because the two just “only seem like good friends.”
One fan recently tweeted, “Yeah because matty healy could pull TAYLOR SWIFT let’s be serious for a second,” as another added, “taylor swift could do WAY better than matty healy.” It’s important to note, as some fans continue to do on the site, that Healy came under fire in the past few years after being accused of following controversial media personalities like Andrew Tate, with some referring to Healy as an “edgelord.”

Healy was also accused of racism in 2020, and even deactivated his Twitter account afterwards. This happened after he received backlash for an insensitive tweet regarding the Black Lives Matter movement.
Many fans seem to be bringing this up as Swift has long identified as a feminist and publicly supported movements that centered around reproductive rights, gun control, LGBTQ+ rights and anti-racism. As most seem to still be “so surprised” and “not able to believe” the rumors, others are also “not fully” convinced that they are actually true, even despite footage of Healy at Swift’s Nashville show.
“With the Joe [Alwyn] breakup rumors being that he couldn’t handle her fame i just don’t believe this is true,” one wrote regarding the Swift and Healy rumors as another tweeted, “people online are soooo dramatic like the whole taylor swift and matty healy thing is 1) def not true 2) so funny seeing people’s reactions.”
