Fan Reactions To Tyra Banks Possibly Taking Over Hoda Kotb's 'Today' Job Permanently
Tyra was just one of many of Jenna's guest co-hosts since Hoda's departure, with Eva Longoria, Scarlett Johansson, and Wynonna Judd also among them.
There have been mixed reactions to the rumors that the former Dancing with the Stars host could be joining the Today family permanently, though, so we don't know if this will influence the producers when it comes to making a permanent hire!
"Please no!" exclaimed one person on a Jenna & Friends Instagram post, adding: "Tyra drives me crazy!" "She's too much," replied a second fan, in agreement, as a third said: "I stopped watching Dancing with the Stars when Tyra Banks was the host… Don't want to have to stop watching Jenna and friends. Please don't have her back."
"You lost me on Monday when I saw Tyra was on all week," quipped a fourth Today viewer, as a fifth simply said: "no." A sixth added: "Buh bye!" "Don't do it Jenna," pleaded a seventh.
It wasn't all bad feedback though! "Yes, Tyra is great! Please bring her back," begged one viewer. "It was fun seeing you and Tyra," noted a second.
"Tyra is a natural. That's why she had her own shows. She and Jenna were wonderful together," thought a third, as a fourth echoed: "Tyra Banks is a good co-host Jenna. Please have Tyra be your co-host again."
Other Names Considered For Hoda Kotb's Replacement
While the supermodel and style icon's name has been thrown into the mix this month, she isn't the only one to reportedly be considered for the job. According to Page Six, many people are desperate for the job based on what it can do for their careers.
"Look what it did for Hoda. It took her from being 'Dateline NBC' Hoda to the Hoda we know today," their source said, adding: "And Jenna was a librarian, basically, before that."
According to Page Six, retired NBA pro Dwyane Wade has privately expressed interest in taking over Hoda's role permanently. Andy Cohen is a very busy man, but he reportedly has also expressed interest in taking over.
