We’re desperate for a vacation (and a personal trainer’s phone number) after seeing the incredible pictures of Vanessa Hudgens in the November issue of Shape magazine. She looks smokin’! The 32-year-old former High School Musical star can be seen posing in a series of sexy swimsuits on the cover and in the accompanying editorial – from onepieces to barely-there bikinis – and we have to admit that we are totally in awe of her body!
On the cover, the former Disney Channel star can be seen lounging by the pool in a low-cut dark blue denim swimsuit. We don’t know how a denim swimsuit would actually hold up in the water, but for posing seductively *near* the water, it ticks all the boxes! One of our other favorite pictures – all of which were taken by Thomas Whiteside – is of Hudgens rocking a white on white high rise bikini, complete with a matching white cover-up. Although we don’t think Vanessa should be covering anything up – did we mention that she looks absolutely incredible? We have no words!

This isn’t the first time the Spring Breakers actress has floored us with her sensational body and provocative outfits. Controversial braids aside, Vanessa blew everyone away last month when she walked in Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty fashion show, and it’s clear to see that she loves showing off her enviable figure. Do you blame her? Luckily, the free-spirited actor and singer was quite forthcoming with information about how she got her perfect body, and the good news is that she doesn’t actually do much of everyone’s least favorite thing: cardio. The bad news is, she does a lot – and we mean a lot – of other things instead…
“My fitness has taken a turn. Cardio has been put on the back burner, and I’m very OK with that,” Hudgens told the mag, before going into more detail about her strict fitness routine. “I do squats with a rack, and I love to see how much weight I can add to the bar. That’s empowering. And I’ve just gotten back into Pilates with a reformer. It works your muscles like nothing else.” We can’t argue with her – Vanessa’s toned and sculpted body is the perfect advert for the exercises she just mentioned! “At my fittest, I feel unstoppable,” she continued. “If you think, ‘There’s no way I can get through 30 reps.’ But then you do, and you remind yourself that you can do anything you set your mind to. Those little victories should always be celebrated. That’s what contributes joy and happiness and power and strength to your life.”

As everyone knows, abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym, so we were really interested to hear what Vanessa had to say about her pescatarian diet. “I stay away from the processed stuff,” the My Little Pony: A New Generation voice actress continued, before confessing that she actually eats two big meals a day, rather than the traditional three. “Many things are processed and contain chemicals and ingredients I can’t pronounce. I want real food. If I’m in Italy, and I see them making pasta by hand, or if it grows from the earth, that’s real. Dinner depends on my mood. I let myself have what I want. If that’s a big bowl of spaghetti with clams and a glass of wine, then that’s what I’m eating. (Yes, girl!)
“Sometimes I crave a salad, and I’ll make a big one with nuts and goat cheese and salmon. Other times, it’s tacos and a margarita. I’ve learned that when I try to be super conscientious of everything I put into my mouth, all I can think about is food. But when I listen to my body and eat what I want, that’s when I’m happiest.”
Very sound advice, we must say! Vanessa’s Shape pictures are obviously proof that her system works! If you can’t get enough of Vanessa, you can see even more scorching pictures of her in the latest issue of Shape, as well as in Tick, Tick…Boom!, which is in select theaters on November 12th and then available on Netflix on November 19th. We can’t wait!
