The red carpet for the 95th annual Academy Awards, which took place at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 12th, had an abundance of show-stopping dresses; but the real drama happened at the Vanity Fair after-party, where the A-list guests really let their hair down and wore some truly mind-blowing ensembles.
Showing some skin was definitely on the sartorial agenda for many of the celebs at the Vanity Fair after-party, with some showing a little – ok, a lot – more than others! Some went down the totally sheer route, some went down the ever-successful thigh-high slit route, and others opted for bras and bralettes in lieu of actual tops. And we’re obsessed! Here are just four of our favorite bras as tops looks from the red carpet:

Olivia Wilde
The Don’t Worry Darling director was noticeably absent from the Oscars red carpet, but she more than made up for it at the Vanity Fair after-party, as she absolutely slayed in her Gabriela Hearst dress! The slinky dress came complete with one long sleeve and a front so plunging it expertly revealed her leather bra top underneath. As well as her mega-sculpted abs, of course!

It was one of the edgiest looks on the red carpet that night, which was made even edgier thanks to Olivia’s smoky black eye makeup and darker blonde locks. We haven’t been able to stop thinking and talking about this look!

Tessa Thompson
If you thought Olivia’s black bra was sexy, just wait ’til you see the Westworld actress‘s bold red one! Tessa looked phenomenal at the after-party, choosing a red and black Moschino ‘fit consisting of a figure-hugging black floor-length skirt, black opera gloves, and a red rose-inspired bra top. An unexpected but appreciated style choice that we will be remembering for a very long time!

Florence Pugh
Akin to Wilde, the Don’t Worry Darling actress also went down the ab-baring route for her after-party ensemble, choosing a barely-there Valentino Fall 2023 look consisting of a black bralette teamed with some black wide-legged pants and a Barbiecore floor-length pink coat. There was nothing casual about this ensemble, and she accessorized with a silver choker and kept the same striking hairstyle and glowing makeup from the Oscars red carpet.
Both Olivia and Florence choosing to bare their abs on the red carpet was unlikely a sartorial decision they made together or told each other about, as they have reportedly been avoiding each other amid reports of ongoing tension between them, reportedly partly caused by Florence being uncomfortable with Olivia and Harry Styles’ affair which started while they were shooting the psychological thriller. According to Page Six’s anonymous source, Olivia and Florence “kept their distance from one another” and “were not photographed at any point during the night greeting each other or partying together.” Yikes! Let’s just agree that they both looked incredible on the red carpet and leave it at that!

Hunter Schafer
Zendaya may have been MIA at the Oscars (she’s reportedly in London with boyfriend Tom Holland – aww!) but Hunter Schafer made sure that the Euphoria stars were noticed on the red carpet, as she served perhaps the raciest look of the entire night by pairing a bra top made up of one single feather with a satin low-rise mermaid maxi skirt with a subtle (perhaps the only subtle thing about the entire look!) train. Wow!
