The neck and chest are areas that many of us overlook when focusing on things like forehead lines or crow’s feet. But these areas have thinner and more delicate skin than others parts of the body, and this means they are often more vulnerable to signs of aging. Aging happens to us all — it’s the natural course and perfectly normal to see fine lines and wrinkles around the neck area. But for those who want to minimize these signs and can’t seem to find a decent neck cream that will help, TikTok continues to be a source of information (and sometimes misinformation) about various products.

The latest viral TikTok gem is a neck cream that some are saying is a “game-changer.”

Risa Does Makeup took it upon herself to find out if the legend of this eye cream truly lives up to the hype. Here’s what she discovered.

GoPure Tighten & Lift Neck Cream

The product that has gone viral is the GoPure Tighten & Lift Neck Cream, which contains hyaluronic acid and cupuacu butter for intense hydration, caffeine for tightening, and something called “Matribust” that is supposed to help strengthen dermal fibers for smoother, tighter skin.

Among its claims is that it can reduce fine lines, tighten “turkey neck” and reduce the look of crepey skin.

But its reviews are mixed (we will get to that later). For now, Risa has committed to trying this cream twice daily for four weeks.

Although Risa says she was skeptical about this neck cream, several TikTok users made big claims about it, showing impressive before-and-after photos and saying they noticed immediate results.

After one use, Risa says she tried this cream for one month. And she says she sees an improvement — not a miraculous one, but a lightening of lines and an overall firmness.

One thing to remember about creams — all creams — is that while they can help improve the texture of your skin, they can NOT reduce sagging skin. The only way to remove sagging skin is through surgery or in-office procedures like radio frequency treatments.

Risa reminds us that this isn’t a miracle cream — and she doesn’t agree with TikTokers who rave so much about this cream that they say they saw the most drastic changes. But she does give it high praise and says it’s one of the best neck creams she has ever tried.

Amazon reviews of this cream are mixed, but mostly positive (it has a 4.2-star rating). Those who defend it, defend it hard and claim it’s worth every penny of its $50 price tag: “Let me start by saying that every penny spent on this cream is worth it—no, scratch that, it's an investment in your skin's future. I've been using it religiously morning and night, and the results are nothing short of astounding.

First and foremost, let's talk about the texture. It's rich, creamy, and decadent, yet it absorbs effortlessly into the skin without leaving any greasy residue behind. And the scent? Subtle and soothing, like a breath of fresh air for your senses.

But what really sets this cream apart is its effectiveness. Within just a few weeks of consistent use, I noticed a significant tightening and firming effect on my neck area. Those pesky lines and wrinkles? Visibly diminished. And don't even get me started on the sagging—I swear, my neck has never looked better.

But it's not just about the visible results. My skin feels incredible to the touch—soft, smooth, and oh-so-hydrated. It's like a drink of water for parched skin, leaving it plump, radiant, and positively glowing with vitality.”

But one person’s miracle-in-a-bottle is another person’s dud. Among the one-star reviews is this one, which expresses regret at being led astray by influencers. “I was influenced. Too good to be true. I didn't see any difference. I have very light skin and am 45 years old. My neck already is crepey and I have always had rings on my neck. I am looking for anything but do not want to do surgery. It did absolutely nothing after using it diligently for 4 weeks morning and night. Do not waste your money.”

Will this cream work for you? It’s possible — but as Risa reminds us, lowering our expectations when it comes to skincare can help us avoid disappointment.
