Whether you’re preparing for a date night and need a lip color that won’t budge or desire a scarlet hue to endure your workday, lip stains have become the viral sensation on TikTok and beyond. They offer an effortless way to maintain vibrant, full lips without the hassle of sticky lipstick or constant reapplication of lip liner.
When I discovered that Wonderskin (the brand famous for its viral transfer-proof and waterproof Wonder Blading Lip Stain Peel Off Masque), was teaming up with Chipotle to create a “guac-proof” lip stain, I knew I had to try it. To my surprise, the product delivered a rich, vampy red shade ideal for the fall season and impressively lasted for ten hours without fading. Below, I’ll detail my experience and results.
What Is The 'Lipotle Wonder Blading Peel & Reveal' Lip Stain Kit?
At the beginning of this month, Wonderskin partnered with Chipotle to introduce a $29 limited-edition "guac-proof" Wonder Blading Peel and Reveal Lip Stain Kit.
The kit's packaging ingeniously mimics the aluminum foil wrapping used for burritos at the fast food chain. Inside, you'll find a green foil mask designed to be worn for 30-60 seconds, along with a lip activator spray to be applied after the mask.
Additionally, the kit includes a unique cloth to assist in peeling off the green mask, unveiling a long-lasting, rich berry shade. The products are paraben-free, suitable for those requiring gluten-free options, and entirely cruelty-free.
Testing The Trendy Lip Mask — Application Time: 8:00 A.M.
I started by applying two coats of the green lip mask, ensuring my lips were entirely concealed, leaving no trace of natural skin. The initial vibrant avocado-like shade was startling, but I was aware it wouldn't be the final color.
After a minute, I sprayed the activator to secure the mask's effectiveness. Following this, I carefully peeled the mask from one corner of my mouth, revealing the color beneath. To finish, I used the specialized cloth to gently remove any lingering pieces of the mask.
I was pleased with the vampy red color beneath the mask, and was instantly reminded of the effects of the fellow TikTok-popular product, the Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey.
Lip Stain Check-In — Lunch: 1:00 P.M.
After sipping on coffee and water all day, the lip color did not budge, even with a few swipes of my favorite Wild Hibiscus Glow Lip Balm from Catrice Cosmetics.
Of course, I had to test if the Wonderskin color would endure after eating a burrito, so I headed to Chipotle and ordered a Sofritas one. The color from the morning not only stayed on my lips after eating, but it also did not transfer onto my fingers, the wrap itself, or napkins after being lightly dabbed.

Final Lip Stain Check-In — Dinner: 6:00 P.M.
I continued to sip on water for the rest of the day (through a straw) and didn't notice the color beginning to fade until around 6:00 when I finished eating dinner.
This means that the lip stain created an effective deep red look on my lips for just over ten hours.

Main Takeaways
For optimal results, it is recommended to start with clean, dry lips before applying the mask. If needed, Wonderskin suggests exfoliating your lips first (I used the brand's $19 Wonder Blading 3-In-1 Lip Scrub to remove dry flakes).
To achieve a more subtle hue, the brand advises allowing the mask to rest on the lips for 10 to 15 seconds. For a more intense color, Wonderskin and Chipotle recommend extending the wait time to 30 to 45 seconds.
Personally, I opted to leave the mask on for a full 60 seconds, resulting in the rich, deep wine shade I had envisioned!
