Walmart just made a huge change to its delivery services, stopping its InHome delivery service as a result of the pandemic.

According to Eat This, Not That!, “Last fall, Walmart rolled out a new home delivery subscription service for shoppers who want the convenience of having their groceries delivered and unpacked by someone else in their own kitchens.”

It makes sense, then, that the service has been discontinued for now to keep customers and workers safe.

The article continues,"The Arkansas-based retail giant piloted the InHome delivery service in a handful of markets across the US, but now, the company is switching gears. Even though Walmart is among the many national chains that have ramped up home delivery options amid COVID-19 concerns, this premium InHome route simply isn't compliant with the new contactless way of life."

That does not mean that you'll have to go without delivery.

Instead, Walmart is implementing a new program, "Doorstep Delivery," for customers who had previously signed up for the InHome delivery service.

While InHome delivery is suspended, Walmart customers have this option instead.

Walmart has two other delivery options as well: Express Delivery and the subscription-based Delivery Unlimited.

Plus, InHome delivery is definitely going to make a comeback when things are safer.

According to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, Walmart confirmed InHome delivery's return: "We'll be resuming deliveries into kitchens soon."
