We’ve seen our fair share of bizarre trends in our days (and even that’s an understatement) but none of come anywhere close to this bizarre denim trend that just surfaced.

Over the last few seasons, the jeans in our closet have gotten a new major updates. We’ve seen hemlines cropped, waistlines raised and fits get looser, but we’ve NEVER seen anything like this.

I give you, layered jeans. Intrigued? So were we.

Layered jeans aren’t multiple pairs of jeans layered over top of each other, but rather a single pair of jeans with multiple waistbands. According to Who What Wear, a couple of different fashion-forward brands have started making their own versions of these unique pants and given that this pair by Natasha Zinko is sold out on Farfetch, we’re guessing the trend isn’t being received as badly as we would have thought.

Jessica Minkoff, fashion content editor at Bergdorf’s Goodman, shared a photo to her Instagram account in a pair of layered jeans and captioned it, “Triple the waistband, triple the fun.”

If you’re down for triple the fun, shop layered jeans ahead.
