We Can’t Believe What Jennifer Lopez’s Ex-Husband Is Saying About Her Marriage To Ben Affleck Now

It seems that everyone is elated to not only see Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck reunited, but finally married—that is— apart from her first husband, personal trainer Ojani Noa. In a new interview with The Daily Mail, Noa revealed how he really feels about Lopez’s fourth marriage, opened up about his past relationship with her, and attempted to predict what her future with Affleck might be like.
Noa and Lopez first met in 1996, and were married from February 1997 to January 1998, just after her breakthrough role in Selena. Last week, Noa made some controversial statements about his ex-wife. He told the British publication, “I wish her and Ben the best, but I’m not convinced it will last. Jen loves being in love, but she’s been engaged six times. Ben is husband number four.” He added, “I was husband number one, and she told me I was the love of her life. When we lay in bed on our wedding night, she said we would be together forever.”
And he didn’t stop there. Noa then went on to say, “We fell in love when she was already famous. But during our marriage, she became a megastar. For years, it was too painful to talk about. I wanted to lie low and live my life. But when I saw she got married to Ben, who is a good guy, the feelings came flooding back.” In the same interview, Noa also discussed his first sexual experience with Lopez (which many fans on Twitter deemed very inappropriate) and also recalled the former couple’s Oprah Winfrey interview.
After splitting from Noa, Lopez dated several A-list stars, was later married to Cris Judd from 2001 to 2003, Marc Anthony from 2004 to 2014 (whom she shares two children with), and most recently, eloped in Las Vegas with her current beau, Affleck.
As many ‘Bennifer’ fans remember, the “If You Had My Love” singer, 53, and Justice League actor, 49, met on the set of their 2002 film Gigli and started dating soon after. Affleck proposed to Lopez in November of 2002, and the two were engaged until January 2004, when they called off the wedding and broke up. Twenty years after they met, the two began dating again in April 2021, and the rest is history!
Fans on Twitter continue to call out Noa’s recent interview, with some telling him to “mind his own business” and to not “use J.Lo as an attempt to be relevant.”
