From bottles of Chick-fil-A dressing to Panera soups, it’s always exciting when items that were previously only available in restaurants turn into products you can buy at the grocery store and enjoy in the comfort of your own kitchen. Now, we have one more thing to look forward to: fans of the infamous Wendy’s chili will be happy to hear that a canned version is reportedly hitting store shelves this spring.

Wendy's canned chili to hit stores this spring

That's right: Wendy's chili (which has previously caused controversy online due to the fact that it's made with leftover burger patties, as one employee revealed on TikTok) will soon be available in a canned version you can cook up right at home. While we highly doubt this store-bought version will contain remnants of actual Wendy's burger patties, we bet it will taste just as good.

Other ingredients in this hearty Wendy's staple include tomato, beans and onions. This is a fan-favorite item at the fast food restaurant, so we expect it to be a hit at grocery stores as well.

Excitement is already brewing on Instagram, where @snackgator shared the good news. "Yes! Always loved their chili! I will definitely try it!" one person commented. "That stuff is the best," another raved. And of course, a few jokesters mentioned the leftover hamburgers in the OG version: "Does it also have two day old hamburgers in it?" someone wrote.

Unfortunately, there's no confirmed date for when, exactly, cans of this chili will be available in stores, but the restaurant told The Takeout that customers can expect it to available this spring. Plus, it's already popping up on Instacart, so surely we won't have to wait too long. Some report they've already gotten their hands on it. "I already have it! So good in a baked potato," one Instagram user confirmed. Fingers crossed we'll get to taste test soon!
