Justice for strawberry ice cream lovers, finally! Wendy’s just announced that they’re adding a Strawberry Frosty to their US menus for the first time in history—but only for a limited time.
This long-awaited dessert will be temporarily replacing the Vanilla Frosty, which is typically a staple on the Wendy’s menu, alongside the classic Chocolate variety. While meals may come and go, it’s not often the restaurant shakes things up with a new Frosty flavor, so this is an especially exciting development. It’s the first flavor change in three years.

In the past, Wendy’s has offered a few different Frosty spin-offs, such as the Twisted Frosty, the Frosty Parfait, the Frosty Waffle Cone, and even a Strawberry Frosty Shake, but this is the first time US customers will be able to dig into this particular treat. Canada, however, got a limited-time preview of this item last year. Wendy’s chief marketing officer Carl Laredo told CNN Business that the Strawberry Frosty was one of their “most talked about items” on the internet when it made its debut.

It’s safe to say US fans are excited to give it a try. “Wendy’s coming out with a strawberry Frosty is the best thing they’ve done for humanity,” one person tweeted.
“Strawberry Frosty? Take my money,” another joked.
“I just got confirmation that God exists, because Wendy’s now has a strawberry Frosty,” one tweeter praised. Amen!
If you’re still a die-hard fan of a good old, tried and true Vanilla Frosty, though, don’t worry; your favorite will return to the menu once its strawberry counterpart has had a good run. But in the meantime… why not have a taste of this new treat?
