Wendy's offers $1 burgers during March Madness
There's nothing quite like digging into a delicious meal as you sit back, relax, and enjoy a basketball game. That's why it's such great news that you can get a Dave's Single for $1 or a Dave's Double for $2 in the Wendy's app, now until April 10.
You read that right: Those are full sized cheeseburgers made with quarter-pound patties, not a tiny Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger or Double Stack. Hallelujah! The only catch is that you'll only be able to get one of each of these discounted burgers—but one is definitely better than none. (Plus, that's probably better for our bodies).
This killer deal follows the fast food giant's announcement that they'll be testing "dynamic pricing" next year. Wendy's CEO Kirk Tanner explained in an earnings call that the chain will begin adding digital menus, "AI-enabled menu changes and suggestive selling" to stores soon—which some believe may indicate slightly higher prices at peak hours. That sounds like all the more reason to enjoy those discounts now! However, it's more likely that this dynamic pricing will have the benefit of lower prices at certain times of day; Wendy's wrote in a statement that they "would not raise prices when our customers are visiting us most" and tested features will be "designed to benefit customers and restaurant crew members."
Whatever the case, we can't wait to take advantage of a free double cheeseburger.
