Wendy’s fans rejoice— the chain has introduced another breakfast item. This marks the first time that Wendy’s has announced a new early morning option in nearly two years, and fans of the fast food company are overjoyed on Twitter. The brand new “Hot Honey Chicken Biscuit” was unveiled to customers on February 8th, and it was met with a warm welcome.
The new breakfast choice includes a fried chicken cutlet on a buttermilk biscuit, similar to Wendy’s “Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit,” except it’s got a kick of spice. This new item is drizzled with hot honey sauce that is infused with habanero pepper and costs $3.19.

Speaking with CNN Business, Wendy’s chief marketing officer, Carl Loredo, detailed the new, spicier release.”This is our first introduction of flavor to the core breakfast lineup. We’ve been in breakfast for almost two years now, so it’s time to build on the overall flavor offerings,” said Loredo. He added that the combination of habanero pepper and sweet honey “brings a nice balance” that doesn’t overpower the palate.
The “Hot Honey Chicken Biscuit” joins fan-favorite breakfast items such as the bacon, egg and cheese offering and sausage, egg and cheese version which are both served on biscuits as well. You can try the latest biscuit option before 10:30 a.m. at your local Wendy’s.
