A fan-favorite seasonal Frosty is returning to Wendy’s this winter. And although it’s not the long-awaited, once-rumored Caramel Apple variety, it’s perfect for those of us who enjoy a bit of peppermint during the holiday season.
That’s right: starting on Nov. 14, we’ll finally be able to enjoy the festive flavor of the Peppermint Frosty once again. It’s time to say goodbye to the beloved Pumpkin Spice Frosty and make room for this holiday treat—and fans are definitely looking forward to it. However, some of them are still lamenting the Vanilla Frosty. Find all the details on this returning sweet treat below.
Peppermint Frosty returns to Wendy's
The trees are slowing losing all of their leaves, cold weather is setting in, and the days are getting shorter, which all means that we're sadly saying goodbye to fall. And as we wave goodbye to spooky season and pumpkin-flavored everything at Trader Joe's, we're also welcoming all of our favorite holiday-themed goodies. One thing many fans are looking forward to tasting again is the ever-popular Peppermint Frosty at Wendy's.
This ice cream treat offers a wintry twist on the classic flavors of Vanilla and Chocolate. It first hit the menu last year.

Fans react to the return of the Peppermint Frosty
@snackgator, an Instagram account that stays updated with the latest snacks and fast food items, recently shared the news with their followers. "Returning to Wendy’s in mid-November is the YUMMY and festive Peppermint Frosty!" they wrote. "Are you excited?!"
Some people are, indeed, excited: "Can't wait," "Omg yes," "Yummy," they commented.
However, many are begging for one more flavor to make a permanent return to the menu: Classic old vanilla. As one person put it: "Dawg i just want vanilla back i cant do this no more."
Another person made a fair request: "i really think that they should have the basics (vanilla, chocolate, strawberry) PLUS the seasonal frosty."
Unfortunately, though, Strawberry is a seasonal flavor that's only available for a limited time in the summer. Meanwhile, the Vanilla Frosty is taken off the menu to make room for these seasonal flavors. Chocolate is available year-round, and there's typically only two Frosty flavors available at any given time—which means Vanilla often gets cut.

In addition to these calls for the return of the Vanilla flavor, some are wondering when we'll finally get that once-rumored Caramel Apple Frosty. This flavor was available for a limited time in Canada last year, but never hit menus in the United States. We'll keep dreaming, though!
Meanwhile, we'll also keep our fingers crossed that these international Starbucks drinks will eventually make their way stateside.
Regardless, we're certainly excited for the Peppermint Frosty's comeback. Are you? Let us know in the comments!
