Wendy’s Customers Are Losing It Over The Return Of This Popular Sandwich: ‘I Just Dropped Everything’

Wendy’s fans, assemble— the popular fast food chain just announced the return of its iconic ‘Pretzel Bacon Pub Cheeseburger’ to the Made to Crave menu. This sandwich will now be available this fall, alongside the restaurant’s ‘Bourbon Bacon Cheeseburger,’ ‘Big Bacon Classic Cheeseburger,’ ‘Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich,’ and ‘Asiago Ranch Classic Chicken Club.’ Fans on Twitter couldn’t be more excited, as the return of the menu item for many, has been long-awaited.

As written by Thrillist, the ‘Pretzel Bacon Pub Cheeseburger’ is made with a “quarter pound of fresh beef, Muenster cheese, three strips of Applewood smoked bacon, smokey honey mustard, warm beer cheese sauce, crispy fried onions, and pickles.” All of these ingredients are then piled into a soft pretzel bun, which “Wendy’s touts as the only one in the fast food arena.”

In a recent press release, Carl Loredo, the US Chief Marketing Officer for The Wendy’s Company, explained, “We always make it a priority to listen to our fans about what they want to see on our menus, or in this case, what they want to see come back on menus.” He added, “The Pretzel Bacon Pub has a fanbase like no other, and since it left menus in 2021 fans have been eagerly awaiting its return. The ingredients team up to create a burger that fans can’t find anywhere else.”

As news of the burger hitting the menu emerged online, fans began sharing their excitement for its return. “I just dropped everything,” one user wrote upon hearing the good news, as another tweeted, “it’s FINALLY back!!” Many expressed their thoughts with heart-eyes, drooling and fire emojis while sharing links to Wendy’s press release and announcement.

Other Wendy’s customers encouraged fellow Twitter users to try the ‘Pretzel Bacon Pub Cheeseburger’ with chicken instead of beef, like the ‘Pretzel Bacon Pub Chicken Sandwich,’ while others stress that “beef is where it’s at” when it comes to this menu option.
