Wendy's brings back Strawberry Frosty
Although the classic Frosty many of us know and love comes in the form of chocolate-y goodness, a few other flavors have graced the Wendy's menu: Strawberry, Vanilla, and Peppermint. While the Strawberry Frosty hit restaurants for the first time last year, it was only available for a limited time. Now, it's making its return just in time for summer.
This refreshing flavor mixes strawberry puree into Wendy's vanilla frosty base. As with many fast food items out there (including this controversial Chick-fil-A sandwich and Wendys' new chicken wrap), reviews on the flavor were mixed. Not everyone loved it. "Strawberry frosty is gross 0/10 don’t recommend," one Tweeter reported.
And now that it's coming back, it's putting a divide between customers once more.
"THANK YOU WENDYS FOR BRINGING BACK THE STRAWBERRY FROSTY AHHHHHHHHH," one fan tweeted, followed by a string of strawberry emojis.
However, some are making pleas that the treat stays of the menu for good: "not the strawberry frosty please. not again," someone begged on Twitter.
McDonald's has also tried their hand at a strawberry-flavored McFlurry, which incited its fair share of negative responses, as well.
Like it or not, though, this frozen dessert will be available at Wendy's all summer long. It's joining the menu alongside the new Ghost Pepper Ranch Chicken Sandwich and Ghost Pepper Fries. If you ask us, it'll serve as the perfect way to give your mouth a cooldown after all that spice.
But what do you think? Are you welcoming this pretty-in-pink Frosty back to the menu, or just counting down the days 'til vanilla comes back?
