We’re Still Not Over The Strapless, Geometric-Print Dress Zendaya Wore To The Time 100 Gala—She Looks Unreal!

From Zendaya‘s powerful and moving performance on Euphoria to her killer string of epic red carpet ensembles, it’s no surprise to many that she made the 2022 Time Magazine roundup of ‘Most Influential People.’ To celebrate the accolade, the Emmy winner arrived at the Time 100 Gala event in New York City last week, and stunned in a vintage Bob Mackie dress with an intricate geometric pattern and romantic skirt.

The Dune actress, 25, donned the emerald velvet couture ball gown that (as revealed on Mackie’s Instagram) derived from the brand’s Fall 1998 collection. The vintage teal and turquoise item was created with silk and faille fabric, and featured a strapless neckline with an Old Hollywood-esque, a-line skirt.

Zendaya, (who recently starred in a Bulgari ad with Anne Hathaway), accessorized entirely with dazzling jewels from the Italian label, including shimmering diamond earring studs, a matching necklace and rings that complimented the colors of her dress for the evening.

To complete her look, Zendaya wore her elegant, long brown tresses down, styled straight and parted in the middle. This drew more emphasis to her glowing makeup look of the night— complete with smokey teal eyeshadow, sky-high lashes, black eyeliner, a nude lipstick and rosy blush along her cheekbones.

The Spider-Man: No Way Home star shared her glamorous get-up with her 145 million Instagram followers, posting a red carpet video. She explained how much the dress meant to her in her post caption. “My deepest thank you to the legendary @bobmackie for granting @luxurylaw and I access to his archives,” she wrote. “I tried this stunning fall 1998 couture gown on a few years ago and it never left our dreams. Lucky to have worn it on such a special night with @time.” Unsurprisingly, Zendaya garnered millions of likes and thousands of comments from fans. “Divine as ever” wrote one fan as another added, “timeless beauty, wow.”

Zendaya’s famous friends also shared their thoughts on her outfit. “Stunning,” Naomi Campbell wrote with 3 red heart emojis as her Euphoria co-star Katherine Narducci added a heart-eye emoji and Alexa Demie shared a period— as in this look left her understandably speechless. Mackie himself wrote, “You looked amazing! The perfect choice for you!” and we couldn’t agree more.
