Today is the start of Coachella, which means summer music festival season is upon us. Whether you're heading out to Indio this weekend or have plans to attend any other festival in the upcoming months, here are some tips for what not to wear--->

Anything culturally insensitive
Wearing someone else's culture as a "fashion statement" is off limits. It's insensitive and there's no arguing with that. So no headdresses, bindis, hijabs, you get the idea.
Maxi dresses
Maxi dresses are cute for a summer BBQ... but not so much when you're living in the desert for three days. The bottom will drag through the mud and be ruined. Not to mention, people will trip over the long material (true story).
Tan booties
Partly for the same reason as maxi skirts/dresses, tan booties will get destroyed by the muddy desert grounds. Unless you're prepared to toss your shoes post-Coachella, do not wear them.
Heels
Solange, girl, I love you, but why are you wearing high heels at Coachella??? Sure, heels look cute, but imagine wearing them for an entire day, running through the mud (did I mention Coachella is muddy??) from stage to stage. Yeah, that's gonna be a no from me, dawg.
See-through bras
Leave the see-through bras to Kendall Jenner*. No one needs to see your nips while listening to the sweet stylings of Lorde.
*But also you do you and if free the nipple is your thing. then by all means proceed.
