Much like the rest of Donald Trump‘s family, Melania Trump has kept her distance from the former president as he faces his ongoing legal problems, including when he flew to Georgia to surrender to authorities after his fourth indictment. But the former First Lady has more or less kept to herself since the family left the White House in 2021, and has only been seen on a few occasions.
Although some sources have claimed that she has been great for her husband behind closed doors, and does support his bid for a second term in the White House, Mr and Mrs Trump have only been seen together a handful of times over the past two years. She wasn’t at any of Trump’s arraignments and post-arrest rallies, and hasn’t appeared at one of his campaign events in ten months – and her absence has now been used as another reason to mock the former president!

'Where's Melania?' Posters Distributed At Iowa Football Game
At the Iowa-Iowa State college football game on Saturday, September 9th, a plane flew overhead dragging a banner reading, 'Where's Melania?' while flyers with the mom-of-one's picture and the same question, as well as the number of the Mar-a-Lago security office, were distributed.
The flyer, which you can check out here, read: "Missing. Have you seen this woman? Where is our First Lady? Why is Donald Trump hiding her? We miss her. Please call 561-832-2600 if found."
A source close to Melania reportedly told People last month that she is "busy with her son and family and she pays only so much attention to these issues which captivate the media." The source added: "Of course these criminal charges are embarrassing to Melania and to Donald, but life goes on and each reacts to stress in different ways."

Donald Trump Seems To Blame Ron DeSantis For 'Where's Melania?' Stunt
Interestingly, the former president and his team seem to think his 2024 rival Ron DeSantis might be behind the banner and flyers, as a response to the Trump campaign flying a banner over the Iowa State Fair that read, "Be Likeable, Ron!"
Trump shared an article on his Truth Social platform by far-right activist Laura Loomer, which was titled: "Ron DeSantis Harasses Melania Trump With 'Missing Person' Flyers At Iowa Football Game." Part of the article claimed: "Fledgling Republican candidate for President Ron DeSantis conducted a shameless and classless political stunt on Saturday at the highly anticipated Iowa vs Iowa State college football game. Obviously angered by the fact that he garnered no attention from attendees, as Trump stole the spotlight from thousands of sports fans, DeSantis’s campaign staff passed out flyers attacking former First Lady Melania Trump."
