Anthony Scaramucci, former White House Communications Director, recently stirred up viral controversy on the MediasTouch podcast by suggesting that Melania Trump might actually be rooting for Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris over her own husband, Donald Trump. Scaramucci, 60, asserted that the former First Lady’s support for Harris, 59, stems from her deep-seated disdain for the twice-impeached former president, 78.

This provocative claim, as reported by NDTV World, comes as Melania, 54, has been notably absent from her husband Donald’s political rallies, appearing only at a handful of fundraising events, and the rally where an assassination attempt occurred.

In a recent conversation with host Ben Meiselas, Scaramucci shared his belief that the former model and mom of one is more eager than he is to see Vice President Harris become President.

Responding to a question during his appearance, Scaramucci said: “Maybe Melania Trump. That could be the only person I think of. Because she hates [Donald Trump].” He went on, saying that his wife Deidre Ball “hates [Donald] Trump as much as Melania does.” Scaramucci also quipped that the host of the podcast was “nicer to [Donald] Trump than Melania is.”

Scaramucci briefly served as White House Communications Director for just eleven days in 2017 before being fired by President Trump.

Scaramucci’s brief tenure, from July 21st to July 31st, triggered a series of events, including White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer’s resignation and a swift backlash from President Trump, who dismissed Scaramucci’s recent remarks as the grievances of a bitter ex-aide.

Meanwhile, Melania has been largely absent from her husband’s campaign events, focusing instead on her 18-year-old son Barron’s college plans and her life in New York.

She is set to release her memoir, Melania, on October 1st, which will likely shed more light on her current priorities.

According to her office, the forthcoming book is "a powerful and inspiring story of a woman who has forged her own path, overcome challenges, and defined personal excellence."
