Whole Foods is catching flack for allegedly cutting workers’ paid breaks from 15 minutes to 10. Yikes!

A Twitter account described as a “grassroots team member-led union,” for workers at the Amazon-owned chain posted a notice to all “team members” regarding the new break policy. People are not happy about this!

"Team Members are permitted to take at least one paid 10-minute rest break per shift following the chart below," the policy read. "Team Members should not clock out for their rest breaks in the applicable timekeeping system."

"Team Members must be back at their workstation no more than five (5) minutes after the rest break or after clocking back in from the meal period," it continued. "Returning late from a meal or rest period or leaving early for a meal period may result in corrective action under the current time and attendance policy." Yikes!

According to its bio, the @WholeWorkerWFM account's goal is to "organize Whole Foods Market and fight for better working conditions in our stores."
