Many women prefer to wear men's deodorant, claiming that it's stronger and "works better" than women's versions. Men’s sweat glands produce more sweat, so it would make sense that their deodorant is more powerful, right? However, the major difference between men's and women's deodorant is actually just the variety of scents and the packaging. In both the male and female deodorants of a certain brand, the active ingredient was exactly the same and was present in the same amounts. However, there is major reason you should be buying men's deodorant instead of the women's version. Click to find out more.
The major benefit of buying men's deodorant tends to be that it is cheaper than the women's version. According to this study, women's deodorants typically cost 30 cents more than the same product for men, even though the active ingredients are almost exactly the same. Some men's deodorants even have more product in the component. So if you want to save a few cents, or just don't want to buy into sexist packaging, opt for men's deodorant.
