Winter is coming–but not before Halloween makes its long-awaited annual appearance, first. In lieu of its final season airing earlier this year, we have a feeling that there will be plenty of “Game of Thrones” Halloween costumes as fans will be paying homage to the pop culture phenomenon and its iconic characters. While season 8 may have received mixed reviews from critics compared to seasons prior, one thing is sure: the main female characters slayed in some pretty serious costumes that any viewer would die to recreate for a women’s “Game of Thrones” Halloween costume.

Whether your favorite character is Daenerys Targaryen, Sansa Stark, Arya Stark, or Cersei Lannister, know that each leading lady’s style is super easy to turn into a DIY Halloween costume. You can throw it back to a classic costume like Daenerys Targaryen’s iconic Mother of Dragons look from seasons past, or recreate your go-to GOT heroine’s most recent appearance. Show you can do more than just “drink and know things,” like Tyrion Lannister famously boasted, by recreating these spot-on “Game of Thrones” costumes this October.

How To Make The Perfect Women’s Game Of Thrones Halloween Costume:

1. Daenerys Targaryen Halloween Costume

Oh Daenerys, we were all rooting for you... Recreate the Mother of Dragon’s season 8 ensemble with this authentic faux-fur coat. Not only will you look ready to take over King's Landing like a badass, but you’ll stay nice and cozy during your Halloween outings. Fall weather is unpredictable, after all.

Pair the costume with a wig recreating Daenerys’ signature icy platinum locks, a Hand of The Queen-embellished bag, and a pair of riding boots.

Cersei Lannister Halloween Costume

For a seriously on-point Cersei Lannister costume fit for a queen, you’ll want to start with a red, velvet gown with tons of embroidery. Season 8 shows Queen Cersei Lannister with a new cropped do, so you’ll want to add this pixie-style wig to your cart. Top it with a crown, and you’re set to rule your Halloween party.

Sansa Stark Halloween Costume

While a lot of us would like to be Sophie Turner in real life—you know, because she's married to a Jonas brother and generally winning at life—we can certainly be her "Game of Thrones" character this Halloween.

Buying an authentic Sansa Stark cosplay costume will set you back a couple of hundred dollars, but you can easily make a costume using pieces that are already in your closet. Pair a black long-sleeve dress with a furry shawl and you're good to go. You can add more authenticity to the look by putting a harness-style body chain over the dress and opting for a red wig.

Arya Stark Halloween Costume

While a girl may have no name, she’ll certainly have the best GOT-inspired Arya Stark costume with these pieces. Arya's exact warrior outfit may be hard to find, but you can recreate her season 8 wardrobe with a black leather jacket, a furry shawl or scarf, some sturdy riding boots, and a trusty sword. Make sure you tie your hair back in a half-up bun to match her new warrior aesthetic.

Props if you can get your hands on a dragon glass dagger!
