Most of us are aware that some apps we download and use regularly use up more battery power than others. But the apps that are the worst battery offenders may surprise you. No one wants an iPhone that requires multiple battery charges daily — the ideal goal is to have a phone that can last at least an entire day on one battery charge.
So, how can you achieve that? Start by knowing which apps are quickly depleting battery power and deciding whether to delete them or change their settings for better battery outcomes. Here a few to keep on your radar.
FaceTimeIt’s always nice to see someone’s face when you’re talking to them. But using FaceTime or other video call apps can greatly diminish your phone’s battery. Whenever possible, swap out video calls for good, old-fashioned phone calls (or texts, if you can’t get on board with that). Doing so will save your phone major battery power.
Netflix & Streaming AppsStreaming apps like Netflix and Hulu are consuming so much battery power just so they can provide you with entertainment. If you are planning on streaming TV and movie content from these apps, also plan on having a charger nearby to give your phone occasional charging bouts.
