You’re not updating your apps to the latest version.While it’s true that some apps are simply bigger battery hogs than others, running any old version of an app is an unnecessary drain on your device — one that takes seconds to remedy. “Newer Apps are better optimized, which means that they will drain less battery, even by a small percentage,” Kayastha says. “If you fail to update your phone apps on a regular basis, you are actually wasting some power all the time. It could be a few minutes a day, but if you have many apps on your phone, it adds up quickly.. The best thing to do is to allow automatic app updates.”
