Many dieters choose to eat sugar-free foods as a guilt-free way of enjoying some sweet treats. But, did you know those sugar-free foods could be ruining your metabolism? diet soda

Any kind of soda, including diet sodas, are no good for you. They claim to be low to no calorie, and say there's no added sugar, but the artificial sweeteners they use are so harsh on your body that they've been linked to cancer! They are also linked to increased risk of obesity, so definitly dump this gross stuff.

ketchup

Did you know ketchup usually has sugar in it? Now, many ketchups are starting to get on the sugar-free craze, but that doesn't mean it's healthy for your body. Ketchup still has basically no nutritional value for you, and all it does it pack on extra empty calories that slow your metabolism and lead to fat storage.

candy

Sugar-free candies are never a good idea. Like diet soda, these candies are filled with artificial sweeteners that have been linked to cancer! Eating too much candy can also lead to tooth decay, bloating and diarrhea.

syrup

Artificial syrups are made with corn syrup and additives that are no good for your body! Corn syrup has been linked to weight gain and obesity, so you definitely don't want to eat that in excess. You're better off eating 100 percent pure maple syrup, but make sure you eat it in moderation to avoid adding extra empty calories into your body.
