The Worst Type Of Charger To Use, According To Tech Experts (It Damages Your iPhone!)

Contrary to how it may seem thanks to their ubiquitous design, all chargers are not created equal. And, in fact, some chargers can do the opposite of what they’re supposed to do: instead of delivering a consistent, predictable charge that keeps your device powered up and ready to go, they can slowly break down your phone’s battery and render your iPhone less useful than it should be — especially considering its steep price tag. The solution is simple: stick to charger types that are recommended for your iPhone. But the first step in getting there is finding out which chargers to avoid at all costs. And this is the worst type of charger to use, according to tech experts, because it damages your iPhone.
Non-Apple ChargerAs far as tech experts are concerned, no matter how much cheaper a non-Apple charger may be, it’s not worth the savings if it means your iPhone can suffer from damage as a result of using one.
“A non-Apple charger can be dangerous,” says Daniela Sawyer, Founder of FindPeopleFast.net, a web-based people searching website. “If you charge your iPhone with a cable that isn’t made by Apple, they say it can damage it. People say this isn’t true. Just don’t use cheap knockoff cables and chargers because they are often cheaper because they don’t have as many safety features inside. You hear about iPhone batteries exploding and phones spontaneously setting off. This is because of products like these […] Other adapters may not meet safety standards, and charging with these adapters could be dangerous, or even kill or hurt someone.”
