Cyrus was able to achieve her new look with the help of her mom, Tish Cyrus, and celeb hairstylist, Sally Hershberger.
Hershberger guided Tish through the haircut over Facetime, and the result was the perfect edgy haircut to update Miley's new mullet look.
Hershberger was definitely proud of her virtual haircutting skills.
She shared a photo of Miley's new look to her Instagram and captioned the post, ""I trained Tish well!;) @tishcyrus @mileycyrus #virtualhaircut lol."
Explaining the shaggy cut, Hershberger told E! News, "Miley wanted to go more punk. She wanted something edgy."
She continued, "We went with a modern mullet that she can wear sleek, but also wavy and messy."
Cyrus has previously talked about her quarantine experiences in an interview with the Wall Street Journal: "I know I’m in a unique position, and my experience with this pandemic is not like most everyone else’s in my country and around the world. My life has been pushed pause on, but really I have no idea what this pandemic is like. I am comfortable in my space and able to put food on my table and [I am] financially stable, and that’s just not the story for a lot of people."
