Ellen DeGeneres has received a lot of criticism throughout quarantine. The popular talk show host was first criticized for a tone deaf joke–comparing quarantining in her mansion to prison–and her reputation has only taken more hits since then. Soon, a Twitter thread emerged, listing people’s rude encounters with Ellen.
Amidst this criticism, new reports show that the talk show host has allegedly even blacklisted some celebrities from her show.

When the rumors around Ellen first started, accusing her of being the opposite of "kind," the talk show host initially thought the situation would blow over. Instead, more and more stories have come out about her behavior--none of them flattering.
Plus, a former staffer told the New York Post, "The stories are all true!"
The source continued, "Is she always nice? No. It irritates me that people think she’s all sweetness and light and she gets away with it."
Ellen has not only been rude to her employees, but she has also been accused of treating her celebrity guests poorly--and even banning some from appearing on her show.
Celebrities from Caitlyn Jenner to Vince Vaughn to Kathy Griffin have been slighted by the talk show host.
According to Yahoo Lifestyle News, the talk show host "alienated" Jenner after the two disagreed about gay marriage in 2015. Vaughn was similarly banned from the show for his line in The Dilemma: "Electric cars are gay. I mean, not homosexual, but my-parents-are-chaperoning-the-dance gay." Kathy Griffin and the host disagreed over Ellen's treatment of Joan Rivers, especially after her death.
Additionally, the beauty blogger known as Nikkie Tutorials accused The Ellen Show of not allowing her to use the closest bathroom when she was on the show, saying that it was reserved for the Jonas Brothers.
In light of these rumors, the comedian is apparently "at the end of her rope," according to an Us Weekly source. Ellen herself has not directly addressed the rumors.
